PostSubject: Minimalistic Email?   October 5th 2008, 4:46 pm

I hate basically every email client I've signed up with due to the fact that the site is too bulky and gay looking.
I also want one with a short address, so I don't have some mega long shit to type in all the time.

Anyone have suggestions?

I'd recommend gmail, imo it's the most minimalistic

try downloading a portable version of thunderbird or Popcorn (REALLY small email client) and hook urself up with a yahoo email because yahoo gets like ZERO spam

I find myself with this problem too. Personally, I use a GMail account (because 80% of my accounts use it), as well as a GMX account for the short name (user@gmx.com)... and am now looking for a suitable way to use both services' POP support for my desktop. GMail's HTML mode is great for me, since I make no use of the AJAX features and it reduces loading time to all the pages. However, I suggest a lightweight email reader as a substitute for webmail.

Yeah, I had Outlook set up for a while, but I hate 2007's layout.
I would download Thunderbird and skin everything down, but I have no clue how to edit the UserChrome.css

Popcorn is a really good email client wink very small, only a few Kb''s if i remember correctly but of course, its not the most feature rich or beautiful thing on the market. I used to use the Bat a few years ago when it was free wink its a pretty nice one with quite a few things that make it special, including the fact that its pretty damn small. Not skinable tho

Yeah i use gmail as well. Very good client. I would also highly recommend Thunderbird. You can edit the UserChrome.css as well. So thunderbird would be my recommendation.
