Thinking of trying one of these out, what's the best and why?

Also are my account passwords safe with them?

digsby is more customizable and i like it because it makes using facebook hells easier but i hate the pop up notifications and i cant figure out how to disable them. Pidgin is small and fast but lacks the customisation features of digsby.

yeah.. only thing with digsby is that you have to make a digsby account and they store ur passwords on their server but they promise that they move them every few weeks or something like that and change the encryptions every so often so its pretty secure. pidgin stores them in binary code so to grab them from your computer the person would have to sort thru binary to find it. Your choice. Digsby makes it easy because u can get on anycomputer and not have to have ur passwords there happy

While pidgin isn't very customizable, I stick with it due to the simpless of it
